Job role description:
We are looking for a high energy, dynamic candidate to fill and grow into a role in our family run business. The role is varied and will suit a person looking to get into the construction industry office environment. Reporting into the Commercial Management Team, responsibilities will include:
- Compiling Buy / Sell forecast documents
- Compiling Procurement Schedules
- Compiling material call of lists for projects
- Preparation of Individual Project duration Programs for consideration and approval by the senior management team
- Day to day monitoring of project progress in support of the Contracts Supervisor and Contracts Director
- Maintaining delivery note/conveyance note schedules
- Managing and recording incoming deliveries
- Communicating directly to the labourer workforce, directives from Management
- Compiling project packs consisting of RAMS & BofQ’s, general project information
Essential Skills:
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills
- Moderate understanding of Quantity Surveying
- Moderate understanding of construction and the construction industry
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
Preferred Skills:
(Not essential, as can be learnt during the job)
- Knowledge of groundworks and civils
- Reading drawings and compiling Take-offs
- Project Management
