Are you an experienced procurement leader with a drive for change and growth?
 

Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Procurement to join a well established organisation operating across the South and London. This is a fantastic opportunity to take charge of a vital function and make a real impact on the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the procurement function, driving change and improvements to fuel growth.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing expert guidance on market trends, procurement strategies, and best practices.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes, from tendering to contract award and management.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment with business objectives.
  • Coach and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous development and strong leadership.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Procurement Expertise: Extensive experience in procurement leadership, ideally within the construction or housing sectors, although a broad background across construction and indirect categories will be considered.
  • Strategic Thinker: Demonstrated ability to craft and implement procurement strategies, understanding market dynamics and best practice.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership capabilities, with a natural coaching style that develops and strengthens teams.
  • Stakeholder Management: Confidence in communicating and influencing at a senior level, providing assurance through best practice and procurement expertise.
  • Qualifications: Degree level or equivalent professional qualification in procurement (MCIPS or related).

Location: Remote (with occasional travel across south operating regions (Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall, and London)
