Manpower is currently recruiting for a Distribution Operative working for one of manufacturing clients based in Ashford, Kent

Working Hours Monday - Friday 06:00 Am - 14.00 & 08:00 - 16:00 on weekly rotation. Once fully trained you will move to a 2pm - 10pm shift

Join a world leader in the fragrance and flavour industry as a Distribution Operative! In this role, you will manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials and finished products. You'll ensure smooth warehouse operations, maintain inventory accuracy, and contribute to a safe working environment. We're looking for someone with strong attention to detail, experience in logistics or warehouse environments, and a commitment to quality.

Core Responsibilities

  • Prepare product(s) for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded as per customer orders.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, colour, or product code.
  • Load, unload, move, stack and stage products and materials in dedicated areas using non- electrical/powered equipment
  • Prepare unused materials for return to main warehouse.
  • Assist with physical inventories and cycle counts, ensuring proper stock rotation.
  • Maintain distribution center/ warehouse and equipment by keeping it clean and safe, reporting service requests as needed.
  • Conduct operations in compliance with company guidelines and public regulations in a manner which promotes safety.
  • Execute other tasks as required and assigned by supervisor.


Academic Background

  • High school education or General Education Diploma equivalency.


Professional Experience

  • 3 to 6 months' experience and/or training in a warehouse environment.
  • Nationally recognised Fork Lift Truck Certificate


Technical Skills

  • Basic math and writing skills.
  • Ability to follow operating equipment utilisation procedures.
  • Ability to follow safety regulations while operating equipment.
