Job Title: Qualified Electrician

Location: Guernsey

Salary: Up to £58,000

Our Client is an established, reputable building contractor located in Guernsey, providing professional services ranging from decorating, plumbing, electrical and carpentry, through to design and project management. With a team of highly skilled builders and qualified tradesmen to support customers every step of the way.

We are seeking a skilled and qualified Electrician to join us. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in high end residential/domestic settings. Attention to detail and quality workmanship is a must.,

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and control equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in a variety of settings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes.
• Collaborate with other trades and contractors to complete projects.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including material used and time spent.
• Always adhere to safety protocols and practices.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients.

Qualifications:

• Valid electrician’s license or certification.
• Proven experience as an electrician (two years’ experience)
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and codes.
• Proficiency in using electrical tools and testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Comfortable working in various environments, including heights and confined spaces.
