ELECTRICAL INSTALLER

My client is one of the Uk's leading providers of electrical safety services, specifically the inspection and testing of fixed installations. PURPOSE OF A ELECTRICAL INSTALLER

My client are seeking a highly skilled and detail orientated Electrical Installation Engineer to join their Surge Protection Installations team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting Electrical Installation work in various commercial and industrial settings.

Ability to work alone or as part of a team to carry out electrical installation works in a safe and unobtrusive manner minimising the impact on normal operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF A ELECTRICAL INSTALLER

  • To carry out electrical installations on a variety of types of LV installations
  • To assess and order parts and equipment necessary for individual tasks
  • To liaise with the operations supervisor for planned and routine maintenance programme and reporting procedures.
  • To work to recognised industry standards at all times.
  • To maintain records of all work, and that required paperwork is completed and sent in within the defined timescales.
  • To participate in flexible working hours which may require occasionally staying away from home, weekend work, and travel may be required away from your home area.
  • To undertake training as required to perform the duties of the role, including health and safety courses and further trade development to maintain current knowledge and professional qualifications.
  • Ability to act on own initiative
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical installation.  
  • IET, BS7671:2018, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, qualification.
  • In depth knowledge of BS7671, IET Wiring Regulations and other relevant standards and codes.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • C&G Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations, 2391 – 2400 preferable but not essential. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. 
  • Valid UK driving licence 

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical installation.

SALARY/BENEFITS
