Job Title: Occupational Hygiene Consultant
Location: Sunderland, Tyne and Wear
Salary/Benefits: £25k - £38k + Training & Benefits
We are seeking a knowledgeable Occupational Hygiene Consultant to join a professional and highly-regarded outfit, with a strong national presence. Candidates will need a robust technical understanding and a keen enthusiasm for the industry. You will also need to be flexible to travel to a range of Commercial, Blue Chip and Industrial Client sites UK-wide. Salaries are competitive and comes with an excellent package of benefits, as well as scope for further BOHS module training.
Candidates will ideally need to be based in: Sunderland, Seaham, Horden, Houghton le Spring, Hetton-le-Hole, Washington, Chester-le-Street, Durham, Bowburn, Lanchester, Consett, Whickham, Gateshead, Blaydon, Ryton, Prudhoe, Heddon-on-the-Wall, Ponteland, Cramlington, Blyth, Whitley Bay, North Shields, South Shields, Longbenton, Wallsend, Hebburn.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Must have experience working as an Occupational Hygiene Consultant
- Will ideally hold at least one BOHS qualification such as: W501, W503 and W507
- Holding a NEBOSH qualification or BOHS P601 would also be beneficial but not essential
- Excellent written ability and proficient with IT software, such as Office
- Great interpersonal skills and able to comfortably converse with Clients regarding technical matters
- Professional and organised manner
The Role:
- Conducting workplace testing for noise, vibration, air and dust
Carrying out breathing airline and LEV testing
- Undertaking workplace assessments and COSHH assessments
- Collating bespoke Client reports outlining findings and recommendations and answering any technical queries
- Ensuring to deliver a high level of service to Clients in order to maintain strong working relationships
- Working to industry guidelines
- Travelling as per company requirements
