We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager on behalf of a leading company within the rail infrastructure sector, based in Nottingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional to join a well-established team, working on high-profile projects across the UK.


Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the commercial function, ensuring financial success and compliance on multiple rail infrastructure projects.
- Oversee all aspects of contract management, including contract negotiation, administration, and resolution of contractual issues.
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Provide commercial advice and guidance to project teams, ensuring adherence to company policies and industry regulations.
- Manage subcontractor relationships, including negotiation, contract approval, and performance monitoring.
- Identify opportunities to enhance profitability and minimize financial risk on projects.


Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Manager within the rail or civil engineering sector.
- Strong knowledge of contract law and commercial principles (e.g., NEC or JCT contracts).
- Excellent financial acumen with the ability to analyze and manage budgets effectively.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- RICS or equivalent qualification (preferred but not essential).
