Multi-Trade Operative – Based Out of Salisbury

40 Hours Per Week - Temporary Ongoing CIS

Pay: £18 - £20 p/h

Your Responsibilities:

  • Undertake planned and routine repairs to social housing properties, and from time to time support other maintenance contracts as required
  • A wide variety of plastering, carpentry, plumbing and tiling repairs in occupied properties, buildings, and vacant properties
  • The work will include:
    • Fitting of various types of doors, locks, architraves, and skirting boards
    • First and second fix
    • Carpentry
    • Plumbing
    • Floor Laying
    • Kitchen fitting
    • Bathroom fitting
    • Repairing minor leaks, fitting taps, toilets, and tubs
    • Replacing sanitary wear
    • Full strip outs
    • Plastering with skimming
    • Ceramic wall tiling
    • Vinyl floor tiling
    • Non-licenced asbestos removal (where full training will be given)

The successful candidate will have:

  • Own van/car and tools for the job
  • Technical background and NVQ Level 2-3 in one of the trades or equivalent
  • A strong background in social housing maintenance contracts (responsive, void, planned)
  • Asbestos Awareness certificate
  • PASMA / IPAF (desirable)
  • Full, UK driving licence
