Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 Driver to join our dynamic team in Bedford. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a Class 2 vehicle to deliver goods to customers and businesses within designated routes.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Minimum handballing
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including timesheets and delivery logs.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients and recipients.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents promptly.
- Assist in the planning of efficient delivery routes to optimize time and fuel usage.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 2 driving license (Category C).
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
- Previous experience as a Class 2 driver is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of local roads and routes in Bedford and surrounding areas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit to handle loading and unloading tasks.
