About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Multiple Needs Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) to join our dynamic team at the Ealing Women's Wellness Zone. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver holistic, wrap-around support for women with complex needs, including those affected by domestic abuse, substance misuse, mental health challenges, trafficking, and other vulnerabilities. As part of a pioneering service that supports women to rebuild their lives and achieve sustainable recovery, the Senior Multiple Needs IDVA will work in collaboration with CGL colleagues and partner agencies to offer proactive crisis intervention and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored crisis intervention, safety planning, and ongoing support to women experiencing domestic abuse and multiple disadvantages.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of risk and need, developing both short-term and long-term plans to support recovery and reduce harm.
  • Advocate for women's rights across multiple agencies, ensuring access to housing, welfare, legal protections, and healthcare.
  • Collaborate with CGL staff at the Ealing Women's Wellness Zone and wider partner organizations, maintaining referral routes and enhancing access to support.
  • Participate in multi-agency forums, including safeguarding and Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARACs), to ensure a coordinated response.
  • Provide training and consultations to upskill professionals, raising awareness of domestic violence and improving outcomes for survivors.
  • Monitor and evaluate the service, maintaining accurate case records and contributing to internal and external reporting.
  • Uphold core values, including a commitment to equality, diversity, and safeguarding practices.

Person Specification:
Essential Knowledge and Qualifications:

  • A relevant qualification (e.g., domestic violence, criminal justice, social work, or a related field).
  • Strong understanding of domestic violence and its impact on women, families, and communities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding practice and legislation.
  • In-depth understanding of substance misuse, mental health, and other intersecting issues faced by vulnerable women.

Essential Experience:

  • At least two years of experience supporting women experiencing domestic violence and related issues, including forced marriage or honor-based violence.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and safety planning for individuals with complex needs.
  • Proven ability to work in a co-located setting and collaborate with multiple agencies.
