Software Delivery Manager – Top European Software Consulting Company

Hybrid working in offices in either Elstree, Hertfordshire or Horsham, West Sussex.

Salary £65k to £70k per annum.

A log-established European Software Consulting Company who have several offices are in the UK are looking to recruit an experienced Software Delivery Manager to join their UK team working remotely and in office to deliver software and services to a number of their UK customer projects.

This role will provide you a variety of interesting duties with the primary responsibility being to manage the successful software implementation of projects with their clients for their SaaS platforms and software. The Software Delivery Manager will also be a key contributor in developing profitable account relationships working with a select handful of clients worldwide, whilst working closely with the Head of Client Services to lead internal change and the integration of new technology, processes and procedures across their European operation.

The Software Delivery Manager will be directly responsible for providing the professional interface between the client and the Development and implementation teams as well as co-ordinating the activities of a highly motivated, multi-disciplinary team of Developers, Business Analysts and Testers.

The successful Software Delivery Manager will have a highly organised and disciplined approach, and is required to provide strong leadership and delivery focus as well as maintaining good client relationships throughout. Having Prince2 or Scrum certification would be useful for this role.

The Software Delivery Manager will be working on new projects of their Software products and supporting new web based software and services implementations in the UK .

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Project planning for all aspects of an implementation including the identification and monitoring of client activities which are critical to project success.
  • Pro-actively and positively managing the client interface including client communication and reporting.
  • Providing strong leadership and clear decision-making.
  • Driving and directing the company’s activities throughout the full project lifecycle to meet tight project deadlines within defined budgetary/resource constraints including business analysis, development, testing, training, data transfer and pre/post Go Live implementation support.
  • Maintaining project controls to actively manage change, risk and issues.
  • Monitoring the budget including the issue of project invoices.
  • Pro-active communication of project progress/issues internally with key project stakeholders.
  • Working in both Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies depending on the client and their requirements.

Other role activities:

As required and depending on your skills, knowledge and experience, you may also be involved in any/all of the following activities, for which training is provided as appropriate:

  • Preparation of required Resource Plan and liaison with other managers for allocation of resource.
  • Line management for software delivery team members.
