Hyde is looking to recruit a Domestic Heating Engineer

As a Domestic Heating Engineer at Hyde, you will be working within the Heating Compliance Team to assist with the delivery of a variety of heating systems including ‘non gas’ heating systems such as Heat Interface Units (HIUs), ensuring service delivery is efficient, effective, and meets all regulatory requirements. Although the fuel type of the appliances may vary, the applicant needs to display a strong bias on heating systems and be willing to upskill as part of the role.It should be noted that the majority of this role will be ‘off the tools’ and would suit a candidate that is willing to transition in to a management role.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical guidance on domestic heating, have strong experience in domestic heating systems and also be willing to upskill to work on electrical and renewable energy systems, fully supported by the Heating Operations Manager.
• Ensure all ‘non gas’ and renewable energy programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and compliant with regulations.
• Monitor contractors’ performance, making recommendations for improvements. Attend progress meetings with contractors under the guidance of the Heating Operations Manager
• Address customer concerns, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution.
• Work with the Operations Manager to implement changes and improve service delivery.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and emerging technologies to ensure best practices.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Experience with domestic heating systems of varying energy technologies.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and standards for domestic heating.
• Project management skills and a willingness to work directly with external contractors.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders.
