We are seeking a proactive Transport Manager to lead and optimise transport operations while actively pursuing new business opportunities within a growing logistics business. This unique role combines operational expertise with business development, ideal for someone ready to expand their impact within a dynamic logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage day-to-day transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
• Develop and implement transport strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Actively seek and identify new business opportunities, building strong relationships with potential customers.
• Manage and lead a team of transport planners and drivers, promoting best practices and safety standards.
• Analyse transport data and produce reports to support decision-making and performance improvements.
• Negotiate contracts and build partnerships with suppliers and stakeholders.

Key skills / experience:

• Proven experience as a Transport Manager, ideally within a 3rd party logistics environment.
• Strong knowledge of transport regulations, compliance, and best practices.
• CPC qualification.
• Previous experience in business development and an existing network of industry contacts is desirable.
• Effective team management and leadership skills.
• Commercially driven, with an analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in transport management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
