Role Responsibilities:

In this role, you will inspire a love for physical fitness and help students develop the skills and motivation they need to engage in sport and active lifestyles. Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering engaging PE lessons tailored to various skill levels and interests, fostering an inclusive environment for all students.

  • Encouraging teamwork, resilience, and self-confidence through a variety of sports and physical activities.

  • Designing and implementing lesson plans that meet curriculum requirements while inspiring enthusiasm for health and fitness.

  • Organising and supporting extracurricular sports activities, events, and competitions within the school community.

  • Monitoring and assessing students’ progress, providing feedback to encourage continuous improvement.

Requirements to be a PE Teacher in the UK:

  • A relevant degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

  • Proven experience in teaching PE at secondary level, with a strong understanding of the National Curriculum.

  • Strong leadership and motivational skills to inspire students and encourage participation in physical activities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a positive learning environment.

  • A commitment to promoting health, fitness, and well-being among students.
