Job Title: HGV1 Day Driver (Trunking)
Location: Alfreton, Derbyshire
Job Type: Full-time. 40+ hours per week
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
About Us: Advance Staff are looking for a HGV1 Driver to work for one of our premier logistics provider in Alfreton. Specializing in efficient and reliable transportation solutions. We are currently seeking a dedicated HGV1 day driver for trunking operations to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate HGV1 vehicles for trunking routes, ensuring timely and safe deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle for safety and compliance
- Follow all traffic regulations and company policies
- Communicate effectively with the transport team and clients
- Assist with loading and unloading as necessary
Qualifications:
- Valid HGV1 driving license, 2 years experience
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification
- Clean driving record with no major infringements
- Previous trunking experience preferred
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
