Due to the recent expansion of our services we have an exciting opportunity for a Health at Work Coach to join our Work and Wellbeing Department on our new WorkWell project.
South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) is working with the South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board and the Joint Work and Health Unit to pilot a new Work and Health programme 'WorkWell'. WorkWell offers low-intensity interventions targeted at people aged 16+ who are in work or recently unemployed and are living with health conditions.
This post will require ongoing and close liaison with key stakeholders as part of a partnership approach. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate that they are able to support positive outcomes and communicate effectively with a broad range of customers living with health conditions.
We are a forward thinking, values driven housing association. This is a community based role working locally in Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham or Sheffield.

More about the role:
You will provide personalised Health at Work support to a caseload of customers that will enable them to remain in work or return to work for up to 16 weeks.
- You will develop personalised action plans to help employees manage stress, boost productivity, and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
- You will lead Health at Work assessments and compile Health at Work reports, supporting employers to put in place adjustments that enable customers to remain in or return to work.
- You will track progress, offer support and distribute self-management tools to ensure sustainable health improvements.
- You will collaborate with employers to identify workplace health challenges and deliver solutions that benefit both staff and the organisation.
- Leverage links to employers and develop new networks to support the WorkWell programme, including job brokerage and referral generation.
- You will work in close partnership with a broad range of statutory and voluntary organisations, for example, NHS Trusts and Local Authorities.
- Using your knowledge of local provision you will signpost effectively and will liaise with partners to support customer goals and aspirations.
- You will report into the WorkWell Team Leader in either Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham or Sheffield.

- Building rapport easily, empathising and exhibit motivational interviewing and coaching techniques
- Working collaboratively within a mixed-disciplinary team and with a wide range of stakeholders, health partners and employers
- Modelling recovery focused practice including a strengths-based approach, being non-judgemental, and using co-production
- Driving licence essential
