CNC Millers & CNC Horizontal Borers (Heidenhain Controllers)

Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum
Positions Available:

• 3 x CNC Millers (Heidenhain Controllers)
• 3 x CNC Horizontal Borers (Heidenhain Controllers.

Key Responsibilities of the CNC Machinists:

• CNC Millers:

  • Set, operate, and program CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls.
  • Produce high-precision components to exact specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Perform quality checks and inspections on finished parts to ensure they meet required standards.

• CNC Horizontal Borers:

  • Set, operate, and program CNC horizontal boring machines using Heidenhain controls.
  • Machine large, complex components with precision, following engineering specifications.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to maintain accuracy and consistency.

• General Duties for Both Roles:

  • Tooling & Setup: Efficiently set up and change tools as needed to maximize productivity.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines, programs, or components.
  • Maintenance: Maintain and care for CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Health & Safety: Adhere to company safety standards and maintain a clean working environment.

Experience of the CNC Machinist:

• Experience: Proven experience as a CNC Miller or CNC Horizontal Borer, working with Heidenhain controllers.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of CNC machining, programming, and tooling.
• Attention to Detail: A high level of precision and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts, if required, and adapt to production demands.
