LTF Recruitment is seeking a dedicated PE/Sports Coach to join a vibrant secondary school in Newham, located conveniently close to Canning Town station.

In this role, you'll be working with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering a range of sports and physical education activities. You will play an essential part in promoting a healthy, active lifestyle and encouraging students to engage in both competitive and recreational sports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver engaging PE lessons and sports activities, encouraging students of all abilities to participate
• Plan and execute a varied sports curriculum, covering team sports, fitness training, and personal development through physical activity
• Encourage teamwork, discipline, and resilience in students, creating a positive and supportive environment
• Organise and manage extracurricular sports clubs, games, and school competitions
• Collaborate with teachers to support physical education initiatives and ensure safety and inclusivity in all activities
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to help them improve their skills and physical fitness

Essential Criteria:

• Experience coaching or teaching PE and sports in a school or youth setting
• Ability to engage and motivate young people, promoting a love for sports and physical activity
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and staff
• Knowledge of health and safety practices in physical education
• A proactive and enthusiastic approach to working with students

Desirable Criteria:

• Sports coaching qualifications or certifications in specific sports
• Experience working in a secondary school setting
• First aid training and knowledge of safeguarding practices

Additional Information:

• Full-time, Monday to Friday
• Paid up to £110 per day, term time only
• Based in Newham, London - close links to Canning Town station for easy commuting
• Immediate start with potential for a long-term position
