Kingsley Consulting are partnered with a leading construction materials provider renowned for delivering high-quality products and technical support across the UK, with innovative solutions in building materials tailored to meet industry standards and support. They are seeking a Distribution Sales Manager to expand their market reach within the distributor, merchant, and small contractor segments.

The Distribution Sales Manager will drive sales growth by building strong relationships with distributors, merchants, and small roofing contractors. The successful candidate will actively manage accounts, promote products, and identify sales opportunities within the designated territory. This role requires a results-oriented sales professional adept at navigating distribution channels to increase product reach and customer satisfaction.

Package: £40,000 - £50,000 + 15% Bonus (30% Bonus for exceeding target) + Benefits (company car, pension scheme, private healthcare)
Location: North UK, with a focus on North West England, West Midlands, Yorkshire, and coverage extending into parts of Wales and Scotland

Role Overview: In this role, the Distribution Sales Manager will play a key role in meeting sales targets, specifically within the distribution and merchant sectors. They will work closely with internal teams to ensure product alignment and effective market penetration. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, merchants, and small contractors.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets within the assigned territory.
  • Identify and engage new business opportunities within the distributor and merchant segments.
  • Conduct regular visits to clients, providing product presentations and sales support.
  • Record all sales activities and client interactions within the company’s CRM system.
  • Offer accurate quotations and support clients with their enquiries.
  • Deliver monthly reports summarising key activities, market insights, and performance.
  • Participate in regular sales meetings and training sessions.
  • Adhere to company policies and operational guidelines.
Experience & Skills Required:
  • Proven experience in a sales role, ideally within distribution or merchant channels in the construction sector.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM software to track and manage customer data effectively.
  • Ability to build and sustain long-term client relationships.
  • Understanding of sales strategy and performance analysis.
  • Full UK driving licence.
