As an English Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students, individually and in small groups, supporting their literacy skills and helping them to achieve their potential. • Support Literacy Skills Development: Help students with reading, writing, and comprehension to strengthen their literacy skills.
• Work with Students Individually and in Small Groups: Provide targeted assistance to students who benefit from focused literacy intervention.
• Assist with Lesson Planning and Preparation: Work closely with teachers to support lesson plans and activities in the English department.
• Track and Report on Student Progress: Monitor students' progress and provide feedback to teachers to adjust intervention strategies as needed.
• Encourage a Positive Learning Environment: Foster an encouraging atmosphere that motivates students to engage and succeed.

• DBS on the Update Service: A current DBS check is essential to begin immediately.
• Passion for Literacy and Education: No prior child-based experience is required, but a strong interest in working with young people and supporting their literacy skills is essential.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to build rapport with students and work effectively with teaching staff.
