Pay: £13-£14 per hour
Working Hours: Split shifts – 6:30am-10:00am and 2:30pm-5:30pm (6.5 hours per day)

Role Overview:

Provide Education is seeking reliable and dedicated School Caretakers to join our team for both full-time and casual positions at primary schools in Rotherham/Sheffield. As a School Caretaker, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and overall condition of the school environment, ensuring a welcoming space for staff and students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Grounds Maintenance: Ensure the school grounds are safe, tidy, and well-maintained.
• Cleaning Duties: Perform general cleaning tasks, ensuring classrooms, hallways, and communal areas are spotless and ready for the school day.
• Security: Open and lock up the school premises, managing security measures to keep the site secure during off-hours.
• Reporting Issues: Identify and report any maintenance, safety, or security issues using the school’s IT system. Strong IT skills are essential.
• Minor Repairs: Handle basic maintenance tasks like fixing doors, changing lightbulbs, and managing school equipment.
• Teamwork: Work closely with school staff to ensure the smooth operation of the school and grounds.

What We’re Looking For:

• Friendly and Team-Oriented: You must be approachable, able to work well within a team, and have a proactive attitude.
• IT Skills: Able to log and report issues through the school's system.
• Experience: Ideal candidates will have experience working in a school environment. However, we welcome applicants from varied backgrounds including site supervisors, project managers, handypersons, health and safety officers, and maintenance professionals.
