Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst.
Location: Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset.
Salary / Benefits £24k - £29k + Training + Benefits
We have a South West based Asbestos Consultancy who are now looking to take on a BOHS P401 qualified Asbestos Lab Analyst. This role would suit someone who has experience working for a UKAS accredited Asbestos company within a busy laboratory. You will be responsible for carrying out bulk sample analysis using PLM and stereo microscopy in line with HSG 248 guidelines. The successful candidate will be joining a continuously growing and professional company.
Consideration will be given to candidates from: Burnham-on-Sea, Wells, Glastonbury, Shepton Mallett, Portishead, Bristol, Keynsham, Bath, Frome, Warminster, Bridgewater, Taunton, Yeovil, Ilminster.
Experience & Qualifications:
" Must hold the BOHS P401.
" Experience working within a UKAS accredited Asbestos Laboratory, carrying out sample analysis in line with HSG 248 guidelines.
" Will have a keen eye for detail.
" Excellent communication and organisational skills.
The Role:
" Ensuring that all samples are correctly logged onto internal systems upon arrival to the laboratory, before correctly labelling and storing safely.
" Carrying out safe working practices to prepare samples for analysis.
" Using PLM and stereo microscopy to carry out bulk sample analysis in line with HSG 248 guidelines.
" Completing job sheets upon completion of analysis, ensuring to return to clients in line with agreed timeframes.
" Ensuring that all equipment is correctly calibrated to ensure accuracy, as well as keeping the laboratory tidy.
" Assisting in maintaining the companies UKAS accreditation.
" Liaising with clients and providing support when required.
