Senior Ecologist - Manchester
£30,000 - £40,000
A leading consultancy is seeking a driven Senior/Principal Ecologist to join their Manchester team. With a diverse client base across residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors, this role offers the opportunity to lead exciting ecological projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage ecology projects, ensuring high-quality delivery.
- Conduct habitat and protected species surveys, Ecological Clerk of Works, and produce technical reports.
- Manage subconsultants and mentor junior ecologists.
- Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Essential Requirements:
- 3-5 years' experience as an Ecologist.
- Degree in a relevant field.
- Full CIEEM membership.
- Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation, EIA, and planning processes.
- Experience in project management, fieldwork, and report writing.
- Valid UK driving licence and flexibility for travel.
