We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team at a SEND provision in Hammersmith. This rewarding role focuses on supporting KS3 and KS4 students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and very challenging behaviour. The position requires a hands-on approach, including personal care, and would suit someone confident in delivering essential support to students with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students with PMLD, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Assist with daily personal care tasks, following each student's individual care plan.
• Manage challenging behaviours with patience and sensitivity, employing de-escalation techniques and behaviour management strategies.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to help each student achieve their personal learning goals.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role within a UK-based educational or care setting is essential.
• A valid Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with students who have additional needs.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, with a caring and flexible approach to working with students who have significant learning challenges.

Role Details:

• Location: Hammersmith
• Working hours: 9:45 am – 3:15 pm, Monday to Friday (Term-time only)
• Daily pay rate: £80 per day
• Temporary position
