About the role:

As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant, specializing in Boosters and Interventions, you will play a vital role in supporting young learners in achieving their full potential. Working part-time, you will provide targeted support for students in Key Stage 1, helping to boost their literacy and numeracy skills. This role involves delivering small group sessions and one-on-one support, with a focus on students requiring additional help, including those with special educational needs. You’ll work closely with the class teacher and the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to implement individualized learning plans and ensure that each child is encouraged, supported, and inspired to grow.

Application Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting, ideally within KS1.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering booster and intervention support, especially in literacy and numeracy.
• Knowledge and understanding of working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
• Ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers and support staff to meet the needs of all students.
• Strong communication skills, patience, and a positive attitude towards helping children succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored booster sessions in literacy and numeracy for KS1 students.
• Provide focused intervention support to students with additional learning needs.
• Collaborate with the classroom teacher to adapt lesson plans for specific students’ needs.
• Assist with classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Foster students’ self-confidence and independence through supportive guidance.
