Serve as the intelligent customer for marine construction oversight and monitoring activities.
Collaborate with environmental consultants, project managers, and engineers to implement effective mitigation and enhancement measures.
Contribute to environmental impact assessments (EIAs), regulatory reports, and license applications, ensuring compliance with relevant authorities.
Engage with stakeholders, including local communities and environmental organizations, to present findings and address ecological concerns.
Stay updated on UK and international marine ecological legislation to ensure project compliance.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

Bachelor’s degree in marine ecology, marine environmental science, or a related field.
Strong understanding and significant experience in marine environmental planning and legislation relevant to construction projects (e.g., Marine & Coastal Access Act, The Planning Act, Environmental Protection Act).
Detailed knowledge of marine environmental mitigation measures.
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within the Marine Environment Team and across the SZC project.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills, with a knack for negotiation and influence.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to project management.
Experience managing marine environmental compliance on large infrastructure projects.

Higher degree in marine ecology, marine environmental science, or a related field.
Familiarity with the marine environmental aspects of the SZC project (DML, DCO, CoCP).
Experience in regulating or overseeing large infrastructure projects.
Proven ability to develop relationships with regulators and manage environmental compliance on construction sites.
Work Environment: We offer a flexible hybrid working model, ensuring you can balance your time between our offices and your home. Youll be equipped with all necessary IT equipment to work efficiently from anywhere.
