About

Our client is seeking a skilled Joinery Estimator to join their expanding team in the Leicestershire countryside. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates for all joinery projects, ensuring that all costs are accounted for, and providing reliable pricing proposals for clients.

Job Role

• Review project plans, drawings and specifications to understand the joinery requirements.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for materials, labour, and overheads.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to clarify specifications and requirements.
• Analyse tender documents and ensure compliance with bid requirements.
• Track and report changes to project scope and provide cost implications.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to obtain favourable pricing.
• Prepare and submit competitive bids while adhering to deadlines.
• Participate in site visits to assess project conditions and requirements.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, materials, and pricing.

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience as an estimator in the joinery or construction industry.
• Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of joinery processes, materials, and industry standards.
• Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant degree or certification in construction management, estimating, or a related field is preferred
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
