Alecto Recruitment are currently working with a Waste Management Company, who are looking to expand their team in the coming weeks.

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer with relevant experience to work on a Monday to Friday basis within a site local to Oldbury.

Job Brief

To support the maintenance team with all maintenance on site.

During this role, you will be required to;

  • Manage the maintenance on site.
  • Improve performance and reliability of the maintenance activities on site.
  • Implement maintenance strategy.
  • Uphold a high standard of health and safety throughout the plant.
  • Comply with existing procedures throughout the company.
  • Maintain and repair recycling machinery and mobile plant.
  • Work with both Mechanical and Electrical equipment to diagnose and repair faults.

Requirements

  • Qualified to BTEC/City & Guilds Level Three standard or equivalent.
  • Certified to 17th or 18th edition.
  • Hold an IOSH certificate.
  • Ideally have experience working with Conveyors, Balers and Compactors.
  • Any Welding experience would be beneficial.
  • Strong Electrical and Mechanical experience working within Heavy Industry/Process Plant environments.
  • Ability to fault find on mobile and static plant.

Salary varies between £35,000 and £38,000 a year plus additional benefits.

The Person

This role would suit an experienced Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias. Ideally someone with the eye for detail and good communication skills.
