About the Role:

Dunbar Education is currently seeking a dynamic and passionate Geography Teacher for a long-term role at a secondary school in Telford. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and innovative lessons in Geography to students across various key stages.
• Promote student participation, engagement, and achievement through a variety of teaching methods and resources.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development and success.
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, ensuring all students feel motivated and valued.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across the school to share best practices and enhance the curriculum.
• Maintain a well-organized and safe classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Participate in school activities, staff meetings, and professional development to ensure ongoing growth and collaboration.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• A degree in Geography or a related subject.
• Strong subject knowledge with a passion for Geography education.
• Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the needs of students with diverse abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive, proactive approach to teaching with a commitment to student success.
• Experience teaching Geography at secondary school level is desirable.
