Job Title: Cardiac Physiologist

Salary: 35,000 to £42,000 (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time (37 hours per week)
Location: Braehead, Glasgow

About You:

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • A degree in Clinical Physiology (or equivalent) or ONC/BTEC in physiological measurement and medical physics
  • Practical experience in assisting with Cath Lab procedures, such as angiograms, stent placements, and pacemaker insertions
  • Certification to manage patients with implanted medical devices, such as Permanent Pacemakers (PPM) and Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillators (ICD)
  • Experience in customer care, including handling challenging situations
  • A strong understanding of clinical specialties, including:
    • Holter Monitoring
    • ECGs
    • Stress Echocardiograms/Echocardiograms
    • Transoesophageal Echocardiograms
    • Bubble Echoes/Drug-induced Echocardiograms
  • Proficiency with PC software and healthcare systems
  • Maths and English GCSE (A-C) or equivalent functional skills (Level 2)

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Cardiac Physiologist, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-focused care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing a wide range of cardiology investigations, both invasive and non-invasive, to the highest standards
  • Maintaining professional patient care at all times, in line with hospital policies
  • Collaborating with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a seamless service to patients
  • Planning, performing, and interpreting cardiology procedures, with guidance when needed
  • Ongoing professional development, ensuring you stay up to date with clinical advances and maintain your competencies
