Direct Medics is a Registered Supplier to the Northern Ireland Health and Social Care Trust Framework. We are currently working with qualified Plumbers to help them find new and exciting opportunities with the Trusts here in Northern Ireland.

As such, we are now recruiting on behalf of the Southern Trust for a Band 4 Maintenance Craftsperson - Plumber! The post holder will be responsible for maintaining engineering equipment throughout the estate in line with his / her core specialist skills and experience as and when required by the trust. The ideal candidate will also be required to work as part of a team in providing a comprehensive equipment repair and maintenance service, involving routine and non -routine activities to a wide range of engineering plant, equipment & building services.  The post will be full time Monday – Friday (37.5hrs) and will be based on the Daisy Hill Hospital Site. Salary starts from £14.50 to £15.50 per hour.

Requirements

- Working knowledge and experience in the installation and maintenance of industrial and/or commercial hot and cold water plant and plumbing distribution systems. 

- Completed a recognised CITB Plumbing apprenticeship or equivalent approved training

- In addition to his/her apprenticeship, the applicant must hold a NVQ level 3 or equivalent City & Guilds Qualification in Plumbing together with a minimum of two years post apprenticeship experience.

- Alternatively but in addition to his/her apprenticeship, the applicant must hold a NVQ level 2 City & Guilds or equivalent Qualification in Plumbing (or higher) together with a minimum of five years post apprenticeship experience.

-Hold a current full driving license with access to a car
