As the Bar & Events Manager at Pirate Studios in Birmingham , you will be vital in orchestrating a seamless blend of bar operations and vibrant event experiences. This is a full time role offering a salary of £23,890.00.

Event Delivery Mastermind

  • In collaboration with your Marketing colleagues, plan, coordinate, and execute a range of events, from Open Sessions to AUX, whilst ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained.
  • Make the events look great whilst ensuring we have appropriate signage and seating.
  • Ensure all equipment is working and set up ahead of an event.
  • Ensure smooth door check-in process.
  • Report attendee numbers to the Marketing team.
  • Host events within budgets.
  • Guide, coach, and support staff to develop teamwork and ensure the standard of service is always exceptional.
  • Point of contact and position of responsibility during events for both customers and staff.
  • Adhere to all legal requirements licensing laws, Health & Safety as well as security procedures.

Community engagement:

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to promote events on the ground and increase participation.
  • Handle any issues with a smile and a solution, making sure everyone leaves with a grin.
  • Create an electrifying atmosphere that keeps our customers coming back for more. Your infectious energy will set the tone!
  • Collect customer feedback.
  • Be brave to propose new events concepts.

Bar Wizard

  • Oversee the daily operations of the bar, ensuring top-notch service, and a killer drinks and snacks menu that hits all the right notes.
  • Manage, motivate, and train a small but fantastic bar and events crew. Your leadership will inspire them to deliver their best.
  • Rota management using our rota scheduling software.
  • Build up the top line revenue by focusing on beverage and food sales. Ensure all selling and purchasing pricing is accurate.
  • Support and ensure stock takes are being carried out monthly and reports are sent to the Finance Team.
  • Ensure all stock is ordered correctly according to the bar needs and stock control is monitored closely.
  • Support the implementation of revenue-generating initiatives and follow budgeted sales targets.
  • Lead on implementation of new products and processes.

What we are after..

Experience: Proven track record in bar and events management, preferably within the music industry. You know what it takes to create an unforgettable experience.

Passion: A deep passion for customer service is a must. A love for music and the entertainment scene is desirable.

Skills: Excellent organisational, and multitasking abilities, a flair for creativity, commercial approach and top-notch communication skills. You can juggle a hundred tasks and make it look easy.

Personality: Outgoing, friendly, and approachable. You’re a people person who thrives in a buzzing environment. Brilliant people manager able to build and retain happy teams.

Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings and weekends. The party doesn’t stop at 5 PM, and neither do you.

Innovation: A forward-thinking mindset with the ability to bring new ideas to life and keep our studios at the forefront of the scene.
