We’re looking for a P&C Advisor to join our team in Kings Hill, Kent.

The People and Culture Advisor at Westfalia Fruit, will play a crucial role within the business, acting as a key point of contact for employees and management by providing a comprehensive generalist HR resource, and being responsible for supporting on a range of HR services and initiatives that align with the company’s global and local, strategic objectives. 

 

This is an exciting role where you would act as the main People & Culture contact for UK based employees and managers (across both our Kings Hill and Spalding sites). You will also be encouraged to get involved with various project work and exciting wellbeing initiatives. You will report to and be supported by the People and Culture Business Partner.

 

Regular travel between both of our UK sites is required (Kent and Lincolnshire).

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations
  • To coach managers with HR procedures and challenge any non-compliance.
  • Partner with hiring managers on the recruitment process, including writing job descriptions, and navigating our online hiring platform.
  • Provide expert, timely and consistent employee relations advice, support and guidance across the full range of employee relations issues including conduct, grievance, flexible working, performance and absence management. Produce letters in relation to employee relations cases, such as invite and outcome letters.
  • To support and coach managers with investigations which can sometimes be complex in their nature, and the completion of all associated documentation.
  • Partnering with the People & Culture Business Partner and external vendors to provide wellness resources and services to employees.
  • Providing guidance and up-skilling to managers and employees on DEIB best practices 

Requirements

Essential:

  • A minimum Level 3 CIPD or Level 5 (desirable)
  • Change management Experience
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law 
  • Experience of working within a fast-paced environment  
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills 

Desirable:

  • Experience in designing and delivery basic HR up-skilling programmes to People Managers  
  • Experience gained within FMCG/food production produce/manufacturing environment (preferable)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills – (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Proficient knowledge of Teams and Sharepoint
