An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Team Leader to join Croham Place.

Croham Place care home providing the highest possible standards of care for up to 35 vulnerable adults who have neuro-psychiatric diagnosis and whose behaviours may at times challenge the service.

The successful candidate will be working 37.5 hours per week, over 5 days across Monday to Sunday.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Registered Manager with the day to day running of the service and coordinating its operations.
  • To ensure safe staffing levels at the unit by supporting the Registered Manager to generate monthly rotas and monitor cost efficiency.
  • This will include a focus on ensuring that there is minimal reliance on agency staff.
  • To ensure high quality of risk assessments and support plans are written and reviewed when required for service users.
  • To provide line management, support, advice and coaching for the Support Workers to ensure they are motivated, independent and able to achieve set goals for service users and themselves.
  • Undertake audits, as part of Bramley Health's audit programme, reporting results and actions to the Registered Manager.
  • Maintain and build relationships with families, internal and external partners/stakeholders.
  • Lead on and encourage the engaging in activities for service users.
  • Ensuring health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Completing set weekly/monthly key performance indicators.
  • Will be required to work alternate weekends.
  • Train, supervise and support staff for the service.
  • To support and promote Bramley Health vision and values.
  • Work in line with company's safeguarding adults and whistleblowing policy to ensure people are always kept safe.
  • To be always responsive and flexible to meet the changing needs of the service and the service users.
  • Ensure security of the unit by ensuring up to date risk assessment is in place.
  • promoting Key Working for service users and assessing and monitoring the quality of personal care provided to the service users.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Good knowledge of legislation relating to CQC standards,
  • Health and Safety, employment and environmental issues.
  • Able to plan, organise, coordinate and work towards set deadlines.
  • At least two years experience working with individuals living with complex health needs and/or with behaviour that challenge.
  • A candidate with a nursing background will be desirable but, not essential.
  • A proven ability of effectively and successfully managing teams as a team leader/ deputy in a care environment.
  • A full clean UK drivers licence is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in administering in administering medication.
  • A minimum Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Health & Social care is preferred.
  • Good organisational skills essential.
  • Good supervisory and communication skills bot written and verbal. Computer literate.
