TXM Recruit is currently working with one of the largest property services contractors in the UK in search for an Operations Manager to support within their social housing sector.

This Operations Manager role will be based in their Warrington office full-time Monday – Friday with requirements to visit sites monthly. The Operations Manager will report directly to the Branch Manager and will be expected to work closely with their Lead QS along with managing their team of Contract Managers and Site Managers.

Operations Manager duties will include but not limited to –

  • Leading a team of Contracts Managers/Site Managers ensuring they have the relevant experience and abilities to manage their allocated projects, are up to date with H&S, and are aware of the companies key values, culture and expectations.
  • Overseeing CVRs and commercials
  • Review safety plan and safe systems of work ensuring implementation on all projects.
  • Assist with the mobilisation and setup of all projects (larger projects should have a mobilisation plan established and followed).
  • Working closely with Lead QS on branch figures & project performance
  • Willing to head up a department to manage labour, workload, projections, transport, training, Health & Safety
  • Establish a master resource programme within the branch to ensure the company can meet contracted commitments.
  • Implement weekly labour plans across all contracts to review and redeploy resources when required to meet programmes of work.
  • Liaise with the Community Engagement Team to ensure resident or customer care needs are considered.

Qualifications -

  • GCSE grade C or above in 4 subjects including Maths and English or a C&G Advanced/Craft certificate and NVQ L2/3, HNC in Construction, or equivalent
  • SMSTS Award

The ideal Operations Manager must have -

  • Social housing experience ideally working for a contractor
  • Experience in leading a team of Contracts Managers/Site Managers
  • Experience in running large projects from a delivery standpoint
  • Good organisation and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of HR
  • Comfortable in compiling and presenting CVRs & commercials
  • Comfortable aiming towards targets and pushing their team to their own individual targets
