Permanent opportunity for a Buyer to join a global Manufacturing organisation based in the Huddersfield area. Our client is a leading engineering manufacturer and specialise in the supply of components to various sectors.

This Huddersfield based new state of the art facility is easily accessible from the M62 and surrounding areas such as Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Wakefield and Castleford

Buyer: (The Role)

• Raising manual purchase orders for both in direct and direct goods
• Negotiating the best possible prices and lead times from Suppliers
• Managing and setting up contracts
• Discover and spearhead initiatives within the organisation to drive innovation, reduce costs, minimise waste and promote continuous improvement
• Ensure timely and appropriate order placement, as well as effective management of lead times and delivery schedules

Buyer: (The ideal Candidate will have)

• CIPS / IoSCM (Desired but not essential)
• Technical Knowledge in a buying role
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Driven and has strong planning and organisational skills

Buyer: Salary & Package

• £28,000 TO £33,000 depending on experience
• Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm (early finish on Fridays)
• Flexible hours
