Academic Mentor

Haberdashers’ Abraham Darby is passionate about learning in its widest sense. Our mission is to ensure that our pupils value and enjoy their learning inside and outside the classroom.

The ADAPT and THRIVE provisions are two of our alternative pathways and a fundamental part of our pastoral support. The provisions support KS4 / KS3 learners, who have a variety of Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and require a more bespoke environment to access a broad and balanced curriculum.

The Academic Mentor will provide academic support, both within the classroom and as part of targeted intervention sessions, to pupils attending our ADAPT and THRIVE provision. 

All pupils in this provision have identified Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). Some pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
