Our client, a prominent player in the water sector, is currently seeking a Slinger/Lift Supervisor to join their team in Springwell, Gateshead. This is a contract position for a duration of 6 months with potential for extension.

• Coordinating and supervising lifting operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Communicating effectively with crane operators to guide the precise movement of loads
• Conducting safety briefings and ensuring all lifting activities are performed according to established guidelines
• Inspecting lifting equipment to ensure it is in good working condition before use
• Maintaining accurate records of lifting operations and equipment inspections
• Collaborating with site management to plan and execute lifting tasks efficiently
• Providing training and guidance to lifting personnel to enhance operational safety and efficiency
• Addressing any on-site issues promptly to minimise delays and ensure project continuity

• Experience in slinger and lifting operations, particularly within the water sector
• CPCS Blue Slinger/Signaller (all types all duties) with Crane Supervisor
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to lifting activities
• Excellent communication skills for clear coordination with team members and crane operators
• Ability to inspect and identify potential issues with lifting equipment
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in lifting operations
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a collaborative team environment
• Relevant certification or qualification in lifting operations is preferred
