Site Engineer

Fawkes & Reece are working with a prominent Civil Engineering Groundworks contractor based in Warrington that is looking for a Site Engineer to join their expanding Ops team. This £65mill turn over client is a prominent groundworks contractor for new build/house build for the Northwest.

About the role : Site Engineer

As the Site Engineer you'll report to the Contracts manager and be a part of their specialist groundworks team.

The housebuilder clients you will be contracting for are the likes of; Vistry, Kellen, Keepmoat, and more! Operating on various sizes of New build site - groundworks packages valued between £2mill - £18mill.

The position also covers the requirements of a Setting out Engineer

Responsibilities for Site Engineer

• managing parts of construction projects.
• overseeing construction work.
• undertaking surveys.
• setting out sites.
• checking technical designs and drawings for accuracy and to ensure that they are followed correctly.
• supervising contracted staff.
• ensuring project packages meet agreed specifications, budgets and/or timescales.
• liaising with clients, subcontractors, local authority employees, architects and other professionals, especially quantity surveyors and the overall project manager.
• providing technical advice and solving problems on site.
• preparing site reports and logging progress.
• ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to.

Remuneration for the Site Engineer

• £300 - £320 per day base rate (CIS)
• Training and exposure to civil engineering for construction industry
