Impact Resourcing are recruiting for a Buyer to start with a well established Civil Engineering company based in Worsley, Manchester. 

Duties: 

- Working alongside Senior Buyer to order materials and plant to various sites.

- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and subcontractors.

- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers.

- Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions.

- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure timely availability of materials.

- Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to understand project requirements.

- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

- Address and resolve any issues related to delivery or quality of purchased items.

- Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

- Stay updated on market trends and new products that could benefit the company

Qualifications/Requirements: 

- Strong understanding of construction materials, equipment, and services.

- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

 - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.

- Strong organisational and time-management skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
