Legal Advisor / Solicitor- required in Peterborough area - Hybrid working option
Focus on Consumer Rights Act and the Small Claims Court Process
 
Monday - Friday working hours.
Office based in the Peterborough area with opportunity to work from home 2-3 days per week.
£35-50,000 commensurate with experience.

Our Client, a leading provider of legal support to the Motor Trade, are looking to expand their team and bring in an additional Legal Advisor or Solicitor to their Legal Team. This is a varied role and we are interested in finding the right person with that something extra to add to the uniqueness of our existing team of Legal Advisors. 
 
We are looking for someone with experience in dealing with consumer complaints at a court level to join our Client's existing and growing team. With Clients in the motor industry, we're looking to add strength to a team advising on Consumer Rights issues. Other areas the correct candidate may have experience and get involved in are HR, H&S, Consumer Credit, Trading Standards, FCA, GDPR and miscellaneous other issues. It's a very varied role so you'll need to have an open and flexible approach for this to work well for you.

Experience / specialism with Consumer Rights, Trading Standards, Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) would be highly beneficial.

You would be managing your own caseload and taking your turn on the Legal Helpline rota as well as writing legal updates for our website and providing opinions to trade magazines and, if you feel comfortable, taking part in podcasts, delivering training and presentations. 

Although you will be responsible for your own busy and varied caseload, there is a great team spirit and all support each other.

Our team all currently work on a hybrid basis sharing their time between our office in the Peterborough and home, but we are currently investing in a state-of-the-art paperless system to enable remote working which could be an option for the right candidate.

This is a unique role with no time recording or billing targets. 

Motor Trade experience would be highly beneficial, perhaps alongside some legal training you might have been a Business Manager from a franchised dealership, an Account Manager from a Finance House, a former Trading Standards Officer or Ombudsman Complaints Handler.
