We are looking for a Quality Engineer on behalf our client who is a manufacturing company based in Leicestershire
This is a permanent position - employed directly by the hiring company
The Job:
- Quality Engineer
- Working Monday to Friday 8am-5pm with 1 hour lunch
- Salary is between £35-40k dependant on your experience
- You will be working alongside both the Quality Manager and Quality Inspector to ensure the company meets QA objectives
- Ensuring continuous improvement within the framework of ISO 0991 to ensure all products are of the right quality first time
- You will need to deal with both suppliers and customers and working alongside any other internal departments
About you:
- You must have worked in ISO 9001 approved manufacturing company, preferably ISO16949
- Understanding of process capability, Cp & Cpk
- Knowledge of core tools e.g. SPC, PPAP, MSA, FMEA
- Knowledge of quality tools in resolution of quality concerns
- Experience in internal auditing, qualification preferred
- Involvement in ISO 9002 & customer audits
- Able to use basic measuring equipment such as micrometer, electronic calliper (vernier calliper), shadowgraph, thread ring & plug gauges
- Computer literate
- Experience in data analysis and dealing directly with both customers and suppliers
