An exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Children's Home Manager has become available in Worthing, Sussex. 
 
Irise Personnel are working with an established childcare provider, who are seeking a OFTSED Registered Manager for a Residential Children’s Home in Worthing Sussex. The role involves leading and managing the home consistent with their therapeutic ethos and delivering high-quality care. The home is currently occupied by 2 children and it is very important that the RM is confident in leading a team that empowers the children and staff to thrive. 
 
Location - Worthing, Sussex - ideally you will be a driver although the home is accessible on public transport.
Salary - £50,000-£58,000 depending on experience and skill set
Hours - 09.00-17.30 although this is flexible
On call – One in 4 weeks.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role include liaising with external agencies, maintaining high standards of care delivery, contributing to the development of the Home's strategy and ensuring effective communication between team members and families.
Specific responsibilities related to young people include maintaining high standards of care, ensuring their health, safety, and wellbeing, liaising with healthcare professionals, leading visits and transitions, undertaking care tasks, implementing PBS strategies, investigating complaints or child protection concerns, and managing incidents and accidents.
In terms of staffing, the role involves providing support to team members, overseeing administrative functions, conducting inductions, providing supervision, recruiting and selecting staff, managing performance, implementing training and development plans and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
Budget and domestic management responsibilities include managing the Home within budget, identifying maintenance needs, updating equipment and furnishings, maintaining health and safety standards, and ensuring proper record-keeping.
The role may also require flexibility in working hours, providing on-call cover, and working extra hours as needed.

Please note that a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent and ideally 3 years of working in Children's residential setting is essential
