Job Title: Fire Damper Engineer.
Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire.
Salary / Benefits £24k - £40k + Training + Benefits
We have a client based in the South East of England who specialise in providing Fire Safety services to Commercial and Residential properties. They are now seeking to take on a Fire Damper Engineer to join their longstanding team in the South East. You will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and installing of fire dampers, inspecting fire doors and installing fire dampers in line with BS 9999 guidelines. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to cross train in various environmental sectors, a generous holiday allowance, opportunities for overtime with excellent overtime rates and enrolment into the company pension scheme. Experience & Qualifications:
" Holding an industry recognised qualification would be beneficial to the role e.g., BESA fire damper. Will have experience working within a reputable fire safety company.
" In depth knowledge of BS 9999 guidelines.
" Good IT sills.
" Able to work well as a team and independent.
" Able to communicate and organise workload efficiency.
The Role:
" Working in line with BS 9999 guidelines to carry out maintenance, installation, and servicing of fire dampers.
" Undertaking assessments of dampers, ensuring they are in safe working condition.
" Testing and maintaining fire dampers.
" Working closely with project managers, ensuring that work is completed in a timely manner.
" Attending site and carrying out fault finding on site, ensuring to rectify faults by cleaning, and repairing tek screws.
" Carrying out inspections of fire doors.
" Installing fire dampers, ensuring they are installed in line with manufacturing requirements and guidelines.
" Liaising with clients, providing excellent technical support based on site findings.
" Advising on the condition of client's fire dampers.
" Using information from site to produce detailed reports.
Alternative Job titles: Fire Damper Engineer, Fire Damper Technician, Fire Engineer, Fire Stopper.
Overall the successful candidate will bring their excellent technical experience working in the fire risk industry and will demonstrate a strong work ethic. Prospective candidates must also be prepared to travel extensively as per client requirements.
