HR Advisor

Basingstoke - Hybrid working - 3 days in the office, 2 days from home

To £30,000 + Bonus + Full Benefits

We are looking for a bright, forward thinking candidate who would be interested in joining a leading organisation fast paced, highly motivated HR Department.

You will be joining a great team and given responsibility for certain department's HR requirements.

Training will be given so don't worry if you've not been exposed to any of the following, but your duties will include:

  • Documentation & HR Records - preparation of letters and documents to capture changes to employment Ts&Cs, disciplinary action, training commitments and events. Ensure full and detailed personnel records are routinely updated and maintained.
  • Recruitment - preparation of job descriptions, liaison with recruitment partners and candidates, managing the interview process and participating in interviews, preparation of Contract/Welcome packs and overseeing the onboarding process for joiners.
  • Eligibility to Work/ID/Reference Checking & Vetting - working with a third-party provider, to oversee BPSS and Enhanced DBS checks for employees in a timely manner to comply with internal policy and legislation.
  • Performance Management - supporting the Business Unit Heads with attendance at and recording of performance reviews as required. Assisting with development initiatives, creation of job descriptions, KPIs and auditing of training records.
  • Social and Engagement initiatives - developing and delivering creative company-wide social activities, including inspirational/motivational guest speaker events.
  • Compliance - Covering everything from; GDPR to legal compliance and everything in between.
  • Absence Management - supporting business heads and HRD to ensure accurate attendance/absence data is recorded and managed within the agreed deadlines.
  • Mobile phones - purchasing and control of equipment and ensuring mobile phone (allocation/cost) records are regularly updated.
  • Office/Facilities/Security - ad-hoc involvement to ensure the smooth and cost-efficient running of business premises and to protect the health, safety and welfare of personnel and the security of Company assets. This may involve Fire Warden and potentially First Aider duties.


This is a busy role working as part of dynamic HR Team. It will suit you, if you are motivated with a passion for HR, the ability to deal with people at all levels and to be assertive where required and diplomatic and sensitive where the situation requires. Attitude, ability to learn and teamwork is everything.
