Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Assist art teachers in preparing materials and setting up classrooms for practical lessons.
  • Resource Management: Manage and organise art supplies, ensuring the art room is well-stocked and materials are readily available.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly check and maintain art equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Student Assistance: Provide support to students during art lessons, helping them with techniques and use of materials.
  • Administrative Tasks: Handle administrative duties related to the art department, including inventory management and ordering supplies.


Requirements:

  • Passion for Art: A strong interest in art and creativity.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage resources and maintain an orderly environment.
  • Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively with teaching staff and students.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to managing supplies and equipment.
  • Flexibility: Adaptability to meet the changing needs of the art department.
  • DBS Check: A DBS on the update service is required.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a technician is preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of various art materials and techniques.
