We have an exciting opportunity for a BOM Engineer to join our client's growing team.
Key responsibilities will include:
. Ownership of existing BOMs, bringing them up to required standards.
. Creation of BOMs for new products and variants of existing products.
. Regular auditing of existing BOMs to maintain their accuracy and agreement with work instruction and physical build.
. Ensuring suitable drawings and technical information are available for all standard and non-standard products.
. Ensure change notes are driven through the department and kept on target, supporting with all required MS Dynamics NAV database work regarding part numbers and BOMs.
. Restructuring the BOMs and linking these to the MRP system.
. Coordinate and implement changes to BOMs and technical information.
. Support Continuous Improvement exercises.
What's required:
. Ability to understand BOMs is required
. Understanding of change management processes/procedures and NPI process and relevant outputs
. Experience of working in the manufacturing sector and a good knowledge of manufacturing processes is required
. HND qualification or equivalent, in a relevant engineering discipline is desirable
. Experience of working with MS Dynamics NAV, or a similar system is essential
. Ability to read engineering drawings is required
. Experience of working with databases, extracting data from systems and manipulating in excel is preferred
. Good project management, presentation, organisation, and communication skills, coupled with a flexible and cooperative approach
