Are you an experienced underwriter?

Have you previously worked in the Buy-to-Let sector? Or residential and commercial markets?

Do you pride yourself on being supremely organised, thrive in a fast-paced environment, with great communication skills?

Our client has over 25 years’ experience in the UK mortgage market. They are now looking for a self-motivated individual with good analytical and communication skills to join as a Mortgage Underwriter.

Main duties:

• Underwrite Mortgage Applications to high standards
• Interpret CAIS/Credit data for all applications
• Effectively manage your own pipeline
• Take ownership of complex cases and queries
• Collaborate with various internal departments to ensure applications are progressed efficiently
• Input, update, and maintain data within internal systems
• Provide a detailed and clear rationale to support all decisions.
• Specialist Lending Market – Adapting to new regulations and knowledge requirements

Key requirements:

• Fully understand the Mortgage process and have a strong knowledge of the Mortgage market
• Ideally have experience within Specialist Lending – Limited Companies, Portfolio Landlords, Ex-Pats, Holiday Lets, HMO’s, Multi-Unit Properties.
• Must have previously held an Underwriting mandate
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is essential.
