Carbon60 is recruiting a EMS Machinist for a well known UK based Manufacturing Company.
This role will be fully on-site based out of Castle Donington.
Initial 12 week contact going perm after that.

When this role is being undertaken competently, i.e. after induction and any role-specific training, the post holder will: -
- Have served a recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship and be a time served mechanical engineer
- Be competent in the use of all machine shop equipment, particularly Lathe, Milling and Grinding equipment and ideally Dynamic Balancing equipment
- Ideally be competent in the use of fabrication shop equipment, including welding (Arc, Gas, Mig & Tig) shaping, pressing, cutting and grinding equipment
- Have the ability to identify worn and damaged components and reverse engineer / remanufacture replacement items from worn and damaged samples supplied or from scratch
- Have the ability to improvise and work on your own initiative and with minimum supervision
- Be able to work from engineering drawings and replicate original parts
- Have good general mechanical fitting capability and be able to assist and support the dismantling, overhauling and re assembly of a wide range of mechanical components & assemblies ideally in a rotating equipment repair and service environment working on AC & DC motors, Gearbox's, Pumps and associated equipment
- Work to a high standard whilst also working within the current health & safety guidelines and site requirements
- Applicants must be flexible and be prepared to work the hours required in a demanding and busy 24/7 service orientated environment
- Be prepared to participate in call out rota as required

- Working on site in addition to the workshop when required

- Contributing to the maintenance of Health and Safety in the workplace
- Good team working skills as well as working on own initiative
- Promote good housekeeping for an efficient working environment
