Management Accountant 
Location: Newcastle (Hybrid) 
Type: 12 month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £42,000 - £48,000 per annum

Elevation Recruitment Group are excited to be working for an established business based in Newcastle as they look to recruit an experienced Management Accountant for a period of 12 months to cover maternity leave. This is a varied role sat in a busy team environment and would suit a confident finance professional looking to step in to a more commercial role. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide finance business partnering support to cost departments for two entities
• Transform financial data into actionable insights for decision-making.
• Analyse trends and variances with senior leadership
• Prepare monthly analysis on operating expenses, capital spending and headcount.
• Lead and attend functional reviews, providing performance insights
• Manage recharges to group entities and ensure consistent reporting
• Conduct monthly variance analysis and lead budget processes
• Maintain financial records, prepare VAT returns, and manage bank payments.
• Support the Finance Manager with trading recharges.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects.
• Working with the team to prepare monthly management packs 

Experience and Skills Required:

• Ideally Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ CIMA) would consider part qualified with minimum 4 years experience in a similar role
• Financial and commercial acumen
• Ability to analyse complex data sets
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in financial modeling, SAP ERP, and MS Excel
• Preferred experience in cost management or business partnering roles
